From Piazzale Roma (or from the train station): a walk to Campo dei Frari to see the amazing Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta (called dei Frari). A look at Campo San Polo and then a stop at the Rialto fish market where tradition and innovation come together. The Rialto Bridge will immediately welcome you with its views, then down into San Bortolomeo field to the famous Mercerie, the surprising Torre dell’Orologio and Piazza San Marco.
